Daya was born in Manhattan, New York in 1951. She moved to Naples, Florida when she was about 3 years old, then moved to Miami, Florida when she was 15 where she currently resides. Her artwork is a combination of pen and ink and Photoshop. She has a love for nature and animals and this is expressed in her art. She is also the author of "Humorous Poems for Children".
